PW Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Chef to join a friendly, family-run pub based in the Medway Towns. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and capable chef looking for consistent part-time weekend work in a relaxed, supportive environment.

🕒 Working Hours

• Friday & Saturday: 10:00am – 9:00pm (service 12:00pm – 8:00pm, with break between services)
• Sunday: 10:00am – 7:00pm (service 12:00pm – 6:00pm)
• Working days: Friday, Saturday & Sunday only

🍽️ The Role

You will be responsible for running a small kitchen independently, preparing and serving classic pub dishes to a loyal, local customer base.

Duties include:

• Preparing and cooking traditional pub meals
• Managing kitchen service during lunch and dinner periods
• Maintaining cleanliness and food hygiene standards
• Planning and delivering occasional daily specials
• Working closely with front-of-house staff

🍴 Menu Style

• Traditional pub favourites:
  • Roast dinners
  • Fish & chips
  • Pie & mash
  • Sausage & mash
• Light lunches including baguettes
• Starters, desserts, and occasional specials

👤 About You

• Previous experience as a chef (pub experience preferred)
• Confident working independently in a small kitchen
• Able to manage service efficiently for up to 50 covers (peak Sundays)
• Passion for producing good-quality, traditional pub food
• Reliable, organised, and able to handle a steady service
