Salary: £40,000 + benefits

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with around 2 years’ experience, or a recent graduate / junior engineer ready to step up into a full design role.

You will join a mechanical engineering team developing robust, high-quality electromechanical products used in electrical test equipment. The role covers full product lifecycle work from concept through to production.
What you’ll be doing

• Mechanical design of components and assemblies using 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
• Creating detailed 2D drawings and BOMs
• Supporting product development from concept through to release
• Working with production to resolve design and manufacturing issues
• Supporting testing, validation, and design improvements
• Contributing to PLM and engineering process improvements

What we’re looking for

• Degree / HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Around 2 years’ experience, or strong graduate-level experience in mechanical design
• SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD experience
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, plastics, machined parts)
• Interest in electromechanical design and product development
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
